Progressive Academy's education is based on the premise that each child is excited about learning and wants to help make the world a better place. We understand that children learn at different rates, their interests are diverse, and their abilities limitless. We recognize these factors in our programs and with the flexibility of our amazing teaching team, it is quite common for our students to move through the grades at faster rates. We make learning as authentic as possible
allowing students to explore their interests through tailored options classes, volunteer work, amazing field trips, and career mentor programs. We believe that students should be taught HOW to learn. This is achieved by teaching strong literacy skills from a young age which are the foundation to research skills, allowing students to question and discover for themselves.
We recognize the importance of family in education and therefore choose to keep the school environment small, warm and open to family. All of our teachers work with families and speak honestly with parents about their childrens’ strengths and weaknesses.
