At the junction of Highways 2A and 53 sits the town of Ponoka in Alberta, Canada. It is located 95 kilometers south of Edmonton and 59 km north of Red Deer.
The word for "elk" in Blackfoot, which is represented on the town's flag, inspired the town's name. Ponoka is also home to the Ponoka County municipal building.
